	Just take the bus at G&L or Lizardo (former Dangwa Parking area). Any bus going to Bontoc or Sagada. First trip leaves Baguio at 630AM, every hour until 130PM. It takes 4 hours to Mt Data Hotel and the travel is winding mountain trail but very smooth because it is well paved. Its 95 kms and adult fare is P140. Two more hours, you will be in Sagada. My mother, Mary Ann Soriano was the first resident manager of the hotel (1960s-1976). The mountain it sits on was our playground. Our playmates were European kids visiting with their parents. The hotel staff were family to us. We owned the mountains surrounding the lodge. We would walk from the hotel to Sawmill using the mountainside pathways, not the main road. Our first cousins who lived in Sawmill were there everyday to play with us. We knew every foxhole along the way. I visited the hotel in the early 2000s and it brought back so many good memories. I wonder if the Padeo, Mana-a, Songadan, Solio,Piluden families or their heirs are still there? Is Tuesday still the night for German tourists when they can watch the native dance presentations (used to be presented by our workers at the sawmill). I miss the aroma of MDH's Benguet coffee and the original carrot cake we used to have there. Sure do want to visit and stay at MDH just for old times sake and to see once more familiar faces if they are still there. Would appreciate to hear from any of them if they read this comment of mine. We stayed in MT Data Hotel during our trike trip via the Halsema Highway last May, 2007. We share the feelings of the other guests' comments, of the beauty and serenity of the place and the warmth and friendliness of the hotel employees.
