I was surprised and excited to see some important landmarks of Basey Samar on the web. It was amazing and I would like to commend the effort of the publisher. Good job!!! Basay is my birthplace and that of my other siblings (except for the youngest). We have a lot of memorable and happy stories about the place----especially during our childhood days (e.g. offering of flowers during flores de mayo(na meron supot ng tinapay at kendi pagkatapos :-), etc. )---and that was several decades ago. It is where my loving parents (may they rest in peace with the LORD in heaven) reared, molded and prepared us to be better children and persons. We left the place when we were still young (I was 8 yrs. old then) ---- but we still manage to go back and visit the place from time to time. I am proud to be a Basaynon....and will alwasy be.
