It's been longing and usually others do not now how great the history of Iloilo City was. Lots of today's and from Spanish times; legislatures, chief justices, executives, and prominent famed noble families of the of the Philippines came from Iloilo, but some are of Ilonggo descent. Jaro, on the Spanish times was the seat of the Archbishopric of the Western Visayas and I think the whole Philippines. some famed elite and weatlhy families of he Philippines who founded prominent companies came from Iloilo City.
